On the morning of 19 February, San Giorgio del Porto S.p.A. was received by Gen. D. Cristiano Zaccagnini, Regional Commander of the Guardia di Finanza for Liguria, accompanied by Gen. B. Massimo Benassi, Chief of Staff of the Regional Command for Liguria, and Col. Alessandro Cavalletti, Commander of the Genoa Air and Naval Operations Unit.
This was a significant opportunity for dialogue, during which Eng. Garre Ferdinando presented the history of the company, its core values, and future objectives, with a particular focus on the Genova Industrie Navali S.p.A. Group. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude for the invaluable support received over the years in managing projects related to the USS Mount Whitney, presenting a San Giorgio del Porto crest as a token of appreciation and collaboration.
This meeting once again reaffirms the shipyard’s commitment to strengthening relationships with institutions to promote sustainable development and safety in the maritime sector, particularly within the Port of Genoa.
